My story
Yewelahawi (Sadie Hill Kelley) is a Wisconsin based photographer and designer with a focus on portraits, sport photography, graphic design and Indigenous fashion. They’ve been capturing the essence of their life and those who idling on to the persistent urge to tell a story. Telling stories is a way that they tell the voices that are normally not heard. Yewelahawi comes from the people of Oneida, Kiowa, Numunuu (Comanche) , Mvskoke Creek, Shoshone Paiute, Cherokee and Absentee Shawnee. She was born and raised on the Oneida Nation Reservation in Wisconsin, but spilt her time also in various parts of Oklahoma with her family.
